2026 Election

The last ask of the cycle, and what it buys.

541 vetoed bills. Thirteen endorsed candidates on the November ballot. Nine weeks.

Over four years, 541 bills passed by the Arizona Legislature were vetoed, among them bills to protect unborn babies and the mothers carrying them, to protect religious conscience, to keep parents rather than agencies in charge of their children's education and health care, and to expand Empowerment Scholarship Accounts.

Those bills did not fail. They passed both chambers. What stopped them was one signature at the end of the line. Not having the votes is a five-year problem. Having the votes and losing at the desk is a nine-week problem. This is the second one.

In the November election, CAP Action has done the work, vetting and endorsing 69 candidates across the legislative, statewide, and federal slates. Candidates who will stand for the values and issues important to you. Now we need your help to get them across the finish line.

Your gift funds three things.

What your gift funds now

▶  Endorsement communication  —  Getting CAP Action's endorsements in front of the friends file and the identified values-voter universe.

▶  Targeted digital  —  Targeted digital in the districts that decide control of each chamber.

▶  Ballot-chase follow-up  —  Ballot-chase follow-up to values voters who requested an early ballot and have not returned it.

What is certain is the calendar. Advertising has to be bought before it can run, and early ballots go out in early October.
