2026 Election
The last ask of the cycle, and what it buys.
The plan, the part that could go wrong, and a direct line to Peter Gentala.
Over four years, 541 bills passed by the Arizona Legislature were vetoed, among them bills to protect unborn babies and the mothers carrying them, to protect religious conscience, to keep parents rather than agencies in charge of their children's education and health care, and to expand Empowerment Scholarship Accounts.
Those bills did not fail. They passed both chambers, because the drafting, the testimony, the coalition work, and the vote counting all worked. One signature stopped them.
In the November election, CAP Action has done the work, vetting and endorsing 69 candidates across the legislative, statewide, and federal slates. Candidates who will stand for the values and issues important to you. Now we need your help to get them across the finish line.
This is a turnout election. Persuasion is expensive and turnout is cheap, so every serious dollar in the closing weeks funds three things.
What your gift funds now
▶ Endorsement communication — Endorsement communication to the values-voter universe.
▶ Targeted digital — Targeted digital in the districts that decide control of each chamber.
▶ Ballot-chase follow-up — Ballot-chase follow-up to voters who requested an early ballot and have not returned it.
And if November does not go the way we hope, the work does not stop. It changes shape. CAP Action was built for the long stretch, not for one November, and January becomes a defensive session rather than the end of the road.

Accountability
CAP Action evaluated and endorsed fourteen candidates this cycle. Thirteen are on the November ballot. This is the last ask of the cycle. On November 4, whatever the result, Peter will write with a straight accounting, including where he was wrong.
