2026 Election
They passed. Then they were vetoed.
541 bills in four years. Steady support carried them to the desk. Steady support is what gets them signed.
Getting a bill through both chambers of the Arizona Legislature is the hard part, and it is the part nobody writes about. Years of drafting. Testimony. Relationships built one legislator at a time. Votes counted and recounted.
That is the work consistent giving pays for, and it worked. Bills to protect unborn babies and the mothers carrying them, to protect religious conscience, to keep parents in charge of their children's education and health care, and to expand Empowerment Scholarship Accounts all passed both chambers and reached the governor's desk.
One signature stopped them. Every one of those bills can be passed again. The drafts exist. The sponsors exist. The votes were there once. What has to change is who signs.
On November 3, Arizona decides that. This is a turnout election, so your gift funds three things and nothing else.
What your gift funds now
▶ CAP Action endorsements — Getting CAP Action's endorsements in front of Arizonans who share your convictions.
▶ Targeted digital advertising — Digital advertising in the districts that decide control of the Legislature.
▶ Ballot follow-up — Follow-up with voters who requested an early ballot and have not returned it.
In the November election, CAP Action has done the work, vetting and endorsing 69 candidates across the legislative, statewide, and federal slates. Candidates who will stand for the values and issues important to you. Now we need your help to get them across the finish line.
Nine weeks decide whether four years of finished work becomes Arizona law.

Accountability
CAP Action evaluated and endorsed fourteen candidates this cycle. Thirteen are on the November ballot. This is the last gift CAP Action will ask you for this cycle. On November 4, whatever the result, Peter Gentala will write with a straight accounting of what happened and what it means for January.
