In just four years, the Governor’s veto pen has struck down more than 500 bills — a record in our state’s history — including measures to protect children and strengthen families.

We saw it again this year. And we saw exactly why 2026 matters.

This session brought real victories worth celebrating. Arizona made the purchase of another human being a felony, set separate penalties for buyers and sellers, and funded a way out for survivors of trafficking. Lawmakers strengthened our Safe Haven law so a parent in crisis can entrust a newborn to safe hands. And with bipartisan support, Arizona made it a crime to block the doors of a church or disrupt a worship service.

When good policy is allowed to reach the finish line, Arizona families win — and the movement you’ve invested in is what made that possible.

But the same session showed the cost of one desk. The bills closest to the heart of what you and I care about cleared the Legislature — then were struck down by veto:
